Master Class : Skip Sempé
7 – 10 November 2016 the Piccola Accademia di Montisi will return to Rome with a special 4 day Master Class, in co-production with the Villa Medici / Académie de France a Rome
The course is free of tuition fees to eligible students. However a non-refundable €80 registration fee is required for the course.
To qualify, students must be presently enrolled in a university level music study or be recently graduated.
Master Class information
The Master Classes at the Villa Medici / Académie de France a Rome will begin on 7 November at 10.00 and end on 10 November at 19.00. Students are expected to arrive in the afternoon of November 6th and to gather for dinner that evening.
The Master Classes will take place daily from 10.00 to 13:00 and from 16:00 to 19.00.
The Master Class finishes with a public concert at the Villa Medici on November 10th at 20:00.
The Master Class will be limited to 6 students.
The Master Classes will be given on:
- A Double manual harpsichord after Blanchet 1730, by Bruce Kennedy, 2011, on loan from the Collection of the Piccola Accademia di Montisi
- A Single manual Italian harpsichord after 17th C. models by Bruce Kennedy, on loan from the collection of the Piccola Accademia di Montisi
Repertoire – Open program, with an accent on repertoire from 1650 – 1750.
Accommodation and travel
Accommodation is arranged for 10€/night at the Villa, in shared apartments.
Villa Medici is situated right in the center of Rome, near the Spanish steps.
